Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Fleet Tracker ("we", "us") provides fleet management software for organizations that own and operate vehicles. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, role (admin / driver), organization affiliation.
  • Vehicle & fleet data: cart identifiers, labels, photos, maintenance records, fuel expenses, uploaded documents.
  • Location data: latitude, longitude, speed, and heading reported by driver devices during active shifts.
  • Device & usage data: browser, OS, IP address, page interactions and error logs.

2. How we use data

  • To operate the live map, geofence alerts, maintenance tracking, and reporting features.
  • To authenticate users and authorize access to your organization's data.
  • To improve reliability, security, and performance of the platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with:

  • Members of your organization, scoped by role.
  • Sub-processors used to host and operate the service (database, storage, AI, maps).
  • Authorities, when required by law.

4. Retention

Operational data (positions, alerts, fuel and maintenance records) is retained for as long as your organization keeps an active account, unless you delete it earlier. You may request deletion of your account or specific records at any time.

5. Security

We use row-level security, encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage at rest, and short-lived signed URLs for files. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected vulnerabilities to your administrator.

6. Your choices

  • Drivers can stop sharing location by ending the active shift on their device.
  • Admins can edit or delete any record their role permits.
  • Contact your organization administrator for data access, correction, or deletion requests.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app.

This is a starter policy and not legal advice. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel before publishing for a real production deployment.
